Lewis Franklin Johnson, age 84, of Franklinville passed away on Sunday, September 25, 2016 at the Randolph Hospice House
Mr. Johnson was born in Randolph County on August 23, 1932 to Marcus and Carrie Allred Johnson. Lewis served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was retired from Ramseur Interlock and was a member of Whites Memorial Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, Lewis was preceded in death by his wife, Betty York Johnson. Lewis loved the outdoors and taking care of his cows.
He is survived by his sons, James Johnson and wife Mary of Franklinville, Todd Johnson and wife Rita of Asheboro; grandchildren, Jennifer Fields, Ethan Fields, Michael Kinney, Heather Pearman; and great grandson, Caleb Fields.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 28, 2016 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 29, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Whites Memorial Baptist Church, 2930 Whites Memorial Rd., Franklinville with Rev. Jeff Joyce and Rev. Arlen Johsnon officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
