Leo Miller Clodfelter, age 97 of Troy, passed away Saturday, October 1, 2016 at FirstHealth Hospice of Pinehurst.
Leo was born November 1, 1918 at Denton, NC, the daughter of Jasper and Bertie Lyons Miller.
She was an active member of Tabernacle Baptist Church where she served for many years as Sunday school teacher, VBS teacher, adult choir member and WMU member. She was a mentor to many of the young adults in the church. She was an avid reader and loved crocheting. She was a retired employee of Klopman Mills of Denton.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Walter Eugene Clodfelter and son Gene Miller Clodfelter.
Leo is survived by one daughter: Marretta Bruton of Troy; two sisters: Vay Cole of Asheboro and Margie Gallop of Manteo; three granddaughters: Darla Wallace of Troy, Amy Smith of Wilmington and Jenna Greene of Asheboro; four great-grandchildren: Ellis Greene, Coley Smith, Laura Wallace and Wyatt Greene.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at 2:00 pm at Tabernacle Baptist Church, 412 Bell St., Troy with Pastor Mark Harper and the Reverend J. Scott Finicum officiating. The family will receive friends in the church sanctuary 1 hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Southside Cemetery.
