Lena Mae Isley Alston

Lena Mae Isley Alston, age 79, of Asheboro passed away on Monday, January 18, 2021 at Green Valley Hospital in Greensboro. Mrs. Alston was born in Asheboro on May 20, 1941 to Pete Hurley Isley and Martha Price Isley. She was retired from Kayser-Roth Corporation and was a member of St. Luke United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, Lena was preceded in death by her husband, Jessie Alston and son, Gregory Todd Alston. She is survived by her sons, Darry Alston (Kimberly) of Asheboro, Rickey Alston of Asheboro, Michael Alston of Asheboro, and Terry Alston of Greensboro; 19 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; and sisters, Ola Leach of Asheboro and Dorothy Wagner of Asheboro. Mrs. Alston's body will lie in repose on Monday, January 25, 2021 from 11:00 am-1:30 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue in Asheboro. Funeral services will follow on Monday at 2:00 pm at the Pugh Funeral Chapel with Rev. Harold Williams officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Asheboro.
