Larry Lawrence McLean

Larry L. McLean, age 71, of Asheboro passed away on Saturday, August 10, 2019 at his home.

Mr. McLean was born in Montgomery County on September 26, 1947 to Carl and Evelyn Hicks McLean. He was a truck driver for Harris Teeter for 21 years where he had perfect attendance and a perfect driving record. Larry was a good Christian man who loved Jesus Christ first and his family second. He was a member of Unity Welcoming Center in Supply, NC. Larry was married to his wife, Linda, whom he called his "beloved," for 42 years and they loved to pick around and joke with each other. In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his sister, Glenda McLean. In his spare time, Larry enjoyed watching westerns on television.

He is survived by his wife, Linda O. McLean; 3 daughters; 4 grandsons; 2 sisters; and 1 brother.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 14, 2019 from 10:00 am-12 noon at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue in Asheboro. Funeral services will follow on Wednesday at 12:00 noon at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Brad Bullard officiating. Burial will be held in Randolph Memorial Park.
