Kira Faith Pelkey

Kira Faith Pelkey age 56 received her wings on April 3rd, 2021 at McLeod Health Seacoast Hospital in Little River SC. She was born on April 7th 1964 in Richmond VA to the late Frances M. Hall and Vernon Buck Hall. Kira was a very special person to so many people. She was an amazing Mother, a Mimi, a loving Wife, and most importantly a Friend. Kira will be remembered mostly for her generosity because she was always putting other people first before herself. She was a very caring and loving person, who loved to laugh and entertain. Her parties were always over the top. As a young mother, Kira would sometimes work 2-3 jobs to provide for her son. She would never let him go without; he was her whole world for so many years. As time went on, Kira loved to travel, she wanted to make memories any chance she could and she always said the best memories were those made when you jumped in the car and just drove somewhere with no agenda. She never went very far for very long because she could not stand to be away from her beloved dogs. The sun rose and set on those dogs. However, the sunsets seemed to be a lot sweeter for Kira at the coast, especially at Sunset Beach where she had plans to retire with her husband. After every phone conversation, she would ask when you were coming to the beach to visit. Kira had that special infectious personality that always left an impression on your heart. Kira is survived in death by her husband Robert Pelkey of Asheboro; Her son Jimmy Barnes and wife Heather of Asheboro; Step Children Scott, Brittanie, Hunter and Anna Pelkey. Her Grandchildren Logan, Braylen, Brodie, and Kynlee. Aunt Carol Rigsbee of Chapel Hill, Cousins Mike, Jeff, and Rosie McDaniel of Chapel Hill. Aunt Martha Hall Walton of Richmond VA; Cousins Norman and Connie Walton of Richmond VA. Extended Family; Gary Weaver and Wife Vickie of Madison, and Richard Pelkey of Burlington. A Celebration of life... will be held at a later date in May.
