Asheboro

Kenneth “Ken” William Lampart, age 84, of Asheboro, NC, passed away on March 2, 2026, at Asheboro Health and Rehab.

Ken was born on January 12, 1942, in Oceanside, New York, to Martin Matthew Lampart and Mildred Agnes Wright. He spent many years working in commercial and residential construction, and as a commercial superintendent, he helped build many of Asheboro’s major projects, including among others, Randolph Health Hospital, the hospital parking deck, and the Randolph County Courthouse.

Ken was an incredible instructor to young people and truly enjoyed teaching others how to work with their hands. After retiring, he continued serving his community for many years with Habitat for Humanity, helping build homes and encouraging those around him with his patience and steady guidance.

Ken’s time and attention were always on his family, whom he loved dearly. He was married to the love of his life, Diane Lampart, for 63 years, and their life together was built on devotion and partnership. Ken also enjoyed playing golf and was proud to have scored a hole-in-one in Myrtle Beach. A dedicated fan of the San Francisco 49ers, he loved following the team and sharing that enthusiasm with others. Later in life, Ken became a bilateral amputee and met the challenge head-on, never allowing it to slow him down and embraced the lifestyle. His daily routine included spending time at the YMCA’s billiard room where he built long lasting meaningful relationships.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Diana Lampart Wollen; his son, Jason Lampart Sr.; his grandchild, Heather Guy; his brother, Matthew Lampart; and his sister, Betty Lampart.

Ken is survived by his wife, Diane Lampart; his son, Adam Lampart (Andi); his grandchildren, Eric Lampart Jr. (Sadie), Michael Lampart (Tessa), and Kenna Lampart; his brothers, Martin Lampart Jr. and Michael Lampart; and his sisters, Charlotte Weiss and Mildred Mears.

Services are pending and will be announced at a later date.
