Obituary

Kenneth “Kenny” William Lampart, 84, of Asheboro, passed away on March 2, 2026, in his adopted city of Asheboro, NC.

Kenny was born January 12, 1942, in Oceanside, NY to Martin Matthew and Mildred Agnes Lampart. He built a long and respected career in commercial and residential construction. As a commercial superintendent, he played a significant role in shaping the Asheboro community, contributing to landmark projects including Randolph Health, the attached hospital parking deck, and the Randolph County Courthouse.

A natural teacher and mentor, Kenny had a gift for working with young people and took pride in teaching others the value and skill of working with their hands. Even after retirement, he remained dedicated to service through Habitat for Humanity, helping build homes and offering steady encouragement, patience, and guidance to all who worked alongside him.

Above all, Kenny was devoted to his family. He shared 63 years of marriage with the love of his life, Diane, building a partnership grounded in loyalty, faithfulness, and unwavering support. He enjoyed golfing—proudly recalling his hole-in-one in Myrtle Beach—and was a lifelong, enthusiastic fan of the San Francisco 49ers, rarely missing an opportunity to follow the team or talk football.

Later in life, Kenny faced the profound challenge of becoming an above the knee bilateral amputee with remarkable strength and resilience. He refused to let it define or limit him, embracing life with determination and grace. A familiar and friendly presence at the local YMCA billiard room, he formed long lasting, meaningful friendships and continued to live with purpose and connection.

Kenny will be remembered for his work ethic, mentorship, resilience, and deep love for his family and community.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Diana Lampart Woollen; his son, Jason Lampart Sr.; his grandchild, Heather Guy; his brother, Matthew Lampart; and his sister, Betty Anderson.

Kenny is survived by his devoted wife of 63 years, Diane Lampart; his son, Adam Lampart (Andi); his grandchildren, Eric Lampart Jr. (Sadie), Michael Lampart (Tessa), Kenna Lampart, and five Great Grandchildren; his brothers, Martin Lampart Jr. and Michael Lampart; and his sisters, Charlotte Weiss and Mildred Meers.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 13, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. in the Glenn “Mac” Pugh Chapel, with burial to follow at Randolph Memorial Park.
