Junie Harris Hill, age 88, of Asheboro died Friday, May 21, 2021 at his home.
Junie was born January 7, 1933 the son of Brantley Harris and Lola Hamilton Hill, whom has preceded him in death.
Junie was raised in Troy and a veteran of the US Air Force. He was an active member of First Christian Church of Ramseur and enjoyed playing a wiseman in the Living Christmas Tree Drama and helping with the Upwards Basketball games. Junie retired as a truck driver from Signal Delivery Service for Sears, he also was formerly employed with Holiday Tours and Digger Specialties. Junie was a very devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and brother. "Nothing was more precious to him than his family".
He is survived by his wife: Blanche Goodman Hill; daughter: Tanya Hill Wright and her husband Eddie of Randleman; son: Vince Hill of the home; grandchildren: Brittany (Chris) Williams of Germany, Lauren (Josh) Hatfield of Asheboro, Madison Wilson and Micah Wilson both of Sophia; great grandchildren: Caius and Finley; siblings: Gilbert (Frankie) Hill, Robert (Gwen) Hill, Rose Ashworth, Arlene (Pat) Freeman and Grace (Sonny) Murray; many nieces and nephews and extended family and friends.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, May 25, 2021 from 11:00 - 12:30 at First Christian Church, 1381 Church St., Ramseur, NC, prior to the funeral at 1:00 pm with Rev. Garry Arnett and Rev. Allen Murray officiating.
Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park, Asheboro with military honors provided by the Randolph County Honor Guard.
