In Loving Memory of Julissa Duarte

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Julissa Duarte who left this world far too soon at the age of 20.

Julissa was born in Pinehurst, North Carolina, and grew up in Candor, North Carolina, where she was known for her vibrant spirit, kind heart, and beautiful smile. She was full of life and had a passion for travel, always looking forward to new adventures, experiences, and opportunities to create lasting memories. Julissa touched the lives of many through her laughter and genuine love for family and friends. Her adventurous nature and caring soul will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

She is survived by her loving parents, Otoniel Duarte and Nayeli Matias Morales; her devoted sisters, Hailey Duarte and Giselle Duarte, along with Giselle's partner, Jamie Christian; her precious niece, Alianna Serena Christian, whom she adored; her cherished grandmothers, Maria Salazar and Beatriz Morales; and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family members who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts.

Though her time with us was far too short, the love she shared and the memories she created will remain with us forever. As we remember Julissa, we find comfort in the promises of Scripture that guided her life. One of the verses she cherished was Philippians 4:6: "Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank Him for all he has done".

Today, her family also holds close to the promise found in John 11:25-26; Jesus said to her, 'I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die.”

Julissa will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered.

En Amorosa Memoria de Julissa Duarte

Con profundo pesar, anunciamos el fallecimiento de Julissa Duarte, quien partió de este mundo demasiado pronto a la edad de 20 años. Julissa nació en Pinehurst, Carolina del Norte, y creció en Candor, Carolina del Norte, donde era conocida por su espíritu vibrante, su noble corazón y su hermosa sonrisa. Estaba llena de vida y sentía una gran pasión por viajar, siempre esperando con entusiasmo nuevas aventuras, experiencias y oportunidades para crear recuerdos inolvidables.

Julissa tocó la vida de muchas personas con su alegría y su amor genuino por su familia y amigos. Su espíritu aventurero y su alma bondadosa serán recordados por todos aquellos que tuvieron el privilegio de conocerla.

Le sobreviven sus amados padres, Otoniel Duarte y Nayeli Matias Morales; sus hermanas, Hailey Duarte y Giselle Duarte, junto con la pareja de Giselle, Jamie Christian; su preciosa sobrina, Alianna Serena Christian, a quien adoraba; sus queridas abuelas, María Salazar y Beatriz Morales; así como muchos tíos, tías, primos, primas y familiares extendidos que conservarán para siempre su memoria en sus corazones. 

Aunque su tiempo con nosotros fue demasiado corto, el amor que compartió y los recuerdos que creó permanecerán para siempre. Al recordar a Julissa, encontramos consuelo en las promesas de las escrituras que guiaron su vida. Uno de los versículos que ella apreciaba profundamente era Filipenses 4:6 "No se inquieten por nada; más bien, en toda ocasión, con oración y ruego, presenten sus peticiones a Dios y denle gracias." 

Hoy, su familia también se aferra a la promesa encontrada en Juan 11:25-26, donde Jesús dijo: "Yo soy la resurrección y la vida. El que cree en mí vivirá, aunque muera; y todo el que vive y cree en mí no morirá jamás." Julissa será profundamente extrañada, eternamente amada y siempre recordada.
