Judith “Judy” Alice Stultz, age 85, of Asheboro passed away on September 12, 2026 at Clapp’s Convalescent Nursing Home.
Mrs. Stultz was a graduate of Fayetteville Street School and loved living in Asheboro. She retired from GE/Black & Decker and loved the many people she met while employed there. Judy loved a good game of Rook or Canasta and was an excellent and wonderful cook. Judy had a big heart and in a nice way was very blunt in speaking that made for many funny times. Judy made a fun-loving and caring home, which was a safe haven for all who came to visit. Above all else, Judy dearly loved her family. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were very special to her, and she loved them with all her heart.
Judy had a very special bond with her mother, Tula “Whootie” Brady Jones and the love of her life, Tommy, with whom she shared 45 wonderful years. They both preceded Judy in death.
She is survived by her sons, Doug Stultz (Anne) of Greensboro and David Stultz (Kelli) of Asheboro; grandchildren, Ryan Stultz (Anna) of Wilmington, Tyler Stultz (Danielle) of Summerville, SC, and Cody Stultz of Troy; and her great-grandchildren, Lilly Stultz and James Stultz.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, September 17, 2026 at 11:00 am at Oaklawn Cemetery with Rev. Mark Wilburn, Rev. Richard Routh, and Rev. Talmadge Williams officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Balfour Baptist Church, 1642 N. Fayetteville St., Asheboro, NC 27203 or West Bend Church, P.O. Box 1845, Asheboro, NC 27205-1845.
