Josephine Myrtle Williams Nixon, age 93, of Franklinville went home to see Jesus on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital, Greensboro.
Mrs. Nixon was born March 10, 1927 the daughter of Walter Clyde and Bertha Hackett Williams. Josephine was a native of Liberty and a member of Bethany United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women's Group. She retired from Nixon and Reynolds Hosiery and was a great seamstress. Josephine enjoyed gardening and canning and loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Josephine is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Emmett Nixon, sisters Allene Wright, Ann Albright, Carlene Perry and brother Bob Williams.
She is survived by her daughter: Janet Routh (Tim) of Franklinville;
grandchildren: Justin Routh (Kelli Kirkman), April Green (Brian); great-grandchildren: McKenzie Green, Kadie Green, Kesney Green, Daphne Routh and Jackson Routh.
A private service will be held.
