Mr. Jimmy William Pruitt 73 of Ramseur passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, July 14,2026 at his home.  Mr. Pruitt was proud of his service to his country having served in the U.S. Army 82nd Airborne division.  After his service in the Army, he worked his entire work career in the textile industry.  He raised 4 boys whom he was very proud of.  He loved spending time not only with his sons but with his 4 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.  Jimmy loved watching western shows on TV and loved going outside and shooting his guns.

Mr. Pruitt is survived by 3 sons, Michael Pruitt of Asheboro, Jody Pruitt of Asheboro and David Pruitt of Bennett.  1 brother William Malford Pruitt of Apex, 4 grandchildren; Samantha Pruitt, Kady Pruitt, Jordan Pruitt and Elizabeth Pruitt and 4 great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his son Jacob Pruitt.

A "Celebration of Life" in memory of Mr. Pruitt will be held Saturday, July 25, 2026, from 1:00-3:00 pm at the Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC.
