Jimmy Jerrold McLeod

Jimmy Jerrold McLeod, age 84, of Asheboro, NC, passed away peacefully at home on June 14, 2025.

Jimmy was born on July 25, 1940, in Troy, NC, to Rufus McLeod and Sally Moffitt. He proudly served his country in the United States Army before beginning a long and dedicated career in the textile industry. A true outdoorsman, Jimmy found joy in hunting, fishing, and camping. In retirement, he took up pottery and found peace and creativity in the craft.

Jimmy was proud of his Scottish heritage and took great pride in being a McLeod. Above all, he was proudest of his grandchildren and loved watching them grow.

He is preceded in death by his parents and five siblings.

Jimmy is survived by his daughters, Sonja McLeod Freuler (Jeff) and Melissa McLeod Moore (Ron); his grandchildren, Ashley Roomsburg (Colin), Dustin Haithcox (Erin), Abi Sparks, and Rachel Moore; and his great-grandchildren, Canyon Sparks, Parker Roomsburg, and Callum Roomsburg.
