Jimmy Darrell Davis

Jimmy Darrell Davis, 76, of Randleman passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, October 1, 2026 at his home. He was born February 23, 1950 in Glenola, NC to Jerome Hayes Davis and Savannah Cruthis Davis.

Jimmy was a loving, caring husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Jimmy’s love and devotion to his family was the most important part of his life, followed by his passion for fast cars. He could always be found anywhere a loud engine was roaring and revving. Jimmy loved classic cars – his favorites being the ’71 Barracuda and the ‘69 Plymouth Road Runner Superbird. When not working on or building cars, he was busy watching his favorite NASCAR driver Dale Earnheardt tear up the track. Jimmy was the former Owner/Operator of “Davis Auto Sales”. He loved to sit back and relax with a good cigar and great story. Jimmy was well loved by all who knew him and was always there for those in need. His memory will live on with those he leaves behind.

Jimmy is survived by his loving wife of 55 years Rita Davis of the home; children, Anitra Davis of Randleman, Brittany Davis Hill (Tony) of Randleman, Melissa Davis of Asheboro, Amy Davis of Asheboro, Devoney Davis Bennett (Tyler) of Randleman; grandchildren, Rodney, Claxton, Christy, Bebop, Raine, Calie, Koby, Lauren, Trenton, Jace, Jimmy, Shelby, Kinsley, Lesley; great-grandchildren, Ophelia, Rylan, Zaylen; siblings, Hayes “Bud” Tomlinson (Lisa), Virginia Davis Cranford (Herbert), Mata VanHuss (James); and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Jimmy is preceded in death by his son, Kawaski Davis; grandson, Jonathan Gainey; brothers, Harry, Robert, and Charles Davis.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 8, 2026 from 12:00 – 1:45 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 600 S Main St, Randleman. Funeral Service will begin at 2:00 PM in the Eddie Pugh Memorial Chapel. Entombment will conclude at Randolph Memorial Park.
