Annie Jean Pritchard Leonard, age 80, of Asheboro died Thursday, May 29, 2008 at Clapps Convalescent Nursing Home, Asheboro. A graveside service will be held on Sunday, June 1, 2008 at 3:00 PM at Randolph Memorial Park, 4538 US Hwy 220 Bus. North, Asheboro with Pastor Dane Waggoner officiating. Mrs. Leonard was a native of Randolph County and was retired from Acme-McCrary Corporation after 43 years of service. She was a member of the Meadowbrook Church of Christ and was preceded in death by her first husband, Colon C. Varner. She is survived by her husband, Jesse Leonard; step daughters, Charlotte Francom of Asheboro, NC and Phyllis Martens of Asheboro, NC; 4 step grandchildren; 7 step great grandchildren; sister, Dot Yow of Randleman, NC; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Saturday, May 31, 2008 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC.
