Janet Mary Wade

Janet Mary Barrett Wade, age 79, of Climax, NC, passed away peacefully in her sleep on November 27, 2024.

Janet was born on May 30, 1945, in Torquay, London, to John Barrett and Mary Carter. An extraordinary cook, she was known for preparing everything from scratch and with love. Janet’s passion for flowers and their vibrant colors brought her immense joy. In 1981, she came to the United States to visit her brother and decided to stay. Two years later, she met her future husband, Thomas Wade, with whom she shared 39 wonderful years of marriage.

Family was at the center of Janet’s life, and she deeply loved her five children and eleven great-grandchildren. Her warmth, kindness, and devotion to her loved ones will be cherished by all who knew her.

Janet is survived by her husband, Thomas Wade; her children, Sharon Woollacott, Richard Tarr, Elizabeth Vickers, Sarah Bysouth, and Vicki Bysouth; and her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Friday, December 6, 2024 from 5:00-7:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home in the Eddie Pugh Memorial Chapel, 600 S. Main St, Randleman.
