James West Matthews

James West Matthews, age 76, of 4761 Old Walker Mill Road, Randleman died Friday, March 2, 2007 at his home.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, March 6, 2007 at Pugh Funeral Home Chapel, Randleman with Rev. Don Hurlburt officiating. Burial will be in Randolph Memorial Park, Asheboro.

Mr. Matthews was a native of Forsyth Co, a US Marine Veteran of the Korean conflict, and was retired from Sears.

He is survived by his wife: Edna LaPrad Matthews; daughters: Janet Lee Roberts of Jackson Springs, NC, Connie Sue Gantt of Jamestown, NC, Teresa Ann West of Vass, NC, Regina Gail Haynes of Randleman, NC; sons: Joseph Hugh Matthews of Randleman, NC, Phal Sum of Asheboro, NC; brother: Bill Matthews of Randleman, NC; sisters: Virginia Tutterow of Mayodan, NC, Thelma Duggins of Mayodan, NC; 13 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Monday, March 5, 2007 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 600 South Main Street, Randleman, NC.
