James Wilfred Law, 80 years old, of 121 N. Elm St., went to be with the Lord October 21, 2007. James was the son of the late Calvin (Cab) and the late Florence Allman Law of Glade Hill, VA. The memorial service will be held at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, October 24, 2007 at 6:00 PM with Rev. Dwight Ayers, Dr. Ron Hamilton, and Rev. Gerald Hussey officiating. James is survived by his wife, Temple Chitwood Law. The two had been married for 57 years. Also surviving are two daughters, Mary York and her husband Russell of Asheboro; Gay Trogdon of Asheboro; two sons, Marshall Law and his fianc Sharon Hinshaw of Asheboro; Donald Law and his wife Pat of Asheboro; eight grandchildren, Angela Combs of Asheboro; Jonathan Law of Asheboro; Kimberly Gentle of High Point; Cynthia Pallas of Asheboro; Crystal Hildreth of Asheboro; Mandy York of Asheboro, Elizabeth Hoeler of Weaverville; Chuck Law of Asheboro; David Law of Asheboro; and Joey Law of Asheboro; twelve great grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Pat Chitwood; and a host of cousins. James was a veteran of the U.S. Army Paratroopers during WWII and was a member of the Woodmen of the World, Lodge 921. He was a retired truck driver and a member of Central Falls Baptist Church. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 24, 2007 from 5:00-6:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Ave., Asheboro. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Central Falls Baptist Church, 1332 Old Liberty Rd., Asheboro, NC 27203 or the Humane Society of Randolph County, P.O. Box 4384, Asheboro, NC 27204 and the Franklin County Humane Society, P.O. Box 298, Boones Mill, VA 24065 in memory of his dog "Lady."
