James Anthony Kearns, age 61, of Asheboro passed away Thursday, March 18, 2021 at Randolph Health.
Anthony was born September 17, 1959 in Davidson County and was a member of Foster Street Wesleyan Church. He was a truck driver and was owner/operator of Kearns Landscaping. He loved the outdoors, especially going hunting and fishing. Anthony loved his family very much and was very proud of his son, Matthew and he would do anything for him.
Anthony was preceded in death by his mother: Helen Kearns, sister: Sharon Bulla and brother: Gregory Kearns.
He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Karen Mabe Kearns; son, Matthew Ethan Kearns of the home; father, James Lamarr Kearns of Asheboro.
Mr. Kearns will lie in repose Saturday, March 20, 2021 from 2-5:00 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro. The family will also receive friends at his father's home at 1372 Cable Creek Rd., Asheboro.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, March 21, 2021 at 2:00 pm at New Union United Methodist Church, 1293 Union Church Road, Asheboro with Rev. Charles Moses and Rev. Lynn Cash officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Due to COVID-19, all guest are required to wear a mask and practice social distancing at the funeral home and the church.
