Jim Cleek

James “Jim” Ritenour Cleek, age 57, of Asheboro passed away on May 6, 2026 at Randolph Hospital.

Jim was born in Asheboro on April 4, 1969 to Thornton and Martha Brantley Cleek, who preceded him in death. He was a 1987 graduate of Asheboro High School, did his undergraduate studies at NC State University, and obtained his MBA at Western Carolina University. He retired from Pharmaceutical Sales. Jim loved being outdoors, the beach, the lake, the mountains, and just piddling. He had a passion for NC State Athletics.

Jim loved his boys, Grayson and Owen, and will be missed by many friends and family.

He is survived by his sons, Grayson Cleek and Owen Cleek, both of Raleigh; sister, Margaret Hubbard (Glen) of Clemmons; brother, Bradley Cleek of Missoula, Montana; and his lifelong friend since the age of 3 years old, Stewart Roberts.
