James Nantz "Jimmy" Hasty

James Nantz "Jimmy" Hasty, age 73, of Asheboro passed away on October 18, 2023 at Universal Healthcare in Ramseur.

Mr. Hasty was born in Asheboro, NC on December 25, 1949 to Jack and Elizabeth Hanna Hasty. Jimmy was employed in sales, finishing his career with Wayne Thomas Chevrolet. He was a lifetime member of First United Methodist Church, where he was baptized, married, was a former Sunday School Superintendent, and youth counselor. Jimmy and his wife Kathy would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on October 19, 2023. Jimmy enjoyed doing volunteer work, especially with CUOC. He was an avid Duke basketball fan and loved taking swimming classes at the YMCA.

He is survived by his wife, Kathy Hasty; sister-in-law, Patricia Ann Willard; and nephew, Jason Southern.
