James Ronald "Ronn" Deaton

James Ronald "Ronn" Deaton, age 70, of Charlotte died Saturday, September 10, 2016 at Novant Presbyterian Hospice, Charlotte. Mr. Deaton was born July 10, 1946 at Charlotte, NC the son of Herman Coolidge and Sue Bridges Deaton. Both parents precede him in death. He retired with forty years of service as an estimator in the construction industry. He was a US Army veteran and of the Baptist faith. He was a private and stoic person who enjoyed genealogical and religious studies. He is survived by one daughter: Sarah S. Deaton of Charlotte, three sisters: Joyce Wendell and husband David of Whigham, Georgia, Susan D. Paskert and Angel Deaton, both of Lakeland, Florida. The funeral will be Thursday, September 15, 2016 at 3:00 pm at Pugh-Troy Funeral Home Chapel, 211 North Main Street, Troy. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial with Masonic rites, will be in Dover Baptist Church Cemetery, 2527 Dover Church Rd., Seagrove. Pugh-Troy Funeral Home is serving the Deaton Family.
