Jackie Ray Cooper, Sr.

Jackie Ray Cooper, Sr., age 84, of Asheboro passed away on October 5, 2026 at Randolph Hospital.

Mr. Cooper was born in Clinton, SC on October 1, 1942 to Cole and Ruth Moates Cooper. He retired, as the owner, from Cooper’s Yard Service. In addition to his parents, Jackie was preceded in death by his siblings, Charles Cooper, Margaret J. Cooper, and Mary Hatch.

He is survived by his wife, Marcie Cooper; sons, Jack Cooper (Jaci), Jeff Cooper (Diane), Jason Cooper (Jen), and Chris Cooper (Brittany); daughter, Debbie Lineberry (Steve); stepsons, Luke Van Eyk (Kristiana) and Dr. Jason Van Eyk and family; brother, David Cooper (Carolyn); and many grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

A celebration of Jackie’s life will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2026 at 3:00 pm at the Central Church Chapel, 300 South Main Street in Asheboro with Fred Huffstetler officiating.
