Isaac Blaine Smith

Isaac Blaine Smith, age 58, of Sophia died Friday, January 22, 2021 at Autumn Care of Statesville. Mr. Smith was born December 17, 1962 the son of William “Bill” Brantley Smith and Mary Elizabeth “Lib” Marshall Smith. Mr. Smith was a native of Randolph County and was a truck driver. Blaine loved being outdoors and especially riding his John Deere tractor. Blaine thought the world of his nieces and their families and loved spending time with all of his family. Blaine also enjoyed fellowship with his friends at the Sophia Midway. Blaine was preceded in death by his parents: Bill and Lib Smith; two brothers: Michael Adams and David Smith; sister-in-law: Patricia “Pat” Smith. The Smith family would like to express a very special “Thank you” to all the staff of Autumn Care of Statesville for the care given to Blaine during his stay. He is survived by his brother: William Jeffrey “Jeff” Smith of Sophia; sister-in-law: Glenda Smith of Sophia; nieces: Michelle Bass (Chris) of Rocky Mount, Julie Smith of Sophia, Amy Lou Frye (Jesse) of Sophia; great nieces and nephews: Cami, Gracie, and Jack Bass, Henry and Eddie Frye; aunt: Violet Horton of Sophia and extended family and friends. At the request of Blaine, no services will be held.
