Hugo Adalberto Medina-Portillo, age 60, of Pleasant Garden passed away on Friday, July 15, 2022 at High Point Medical Center.
Mr. Medina-Portillo was born in Ciudad Barrios El Salvador on August 19, 1961 to Jose Manuel Medina and Digna Portillo Baires. Hugo was a former banquet chef, known for his Korean food and marinated beef and was the owner/operator of Frog Lick Towing. Hugo was a very giving man and loved helping people. He loved his grandchildren and his animals. In addition to his parents, Hugo was preceded in death by his wife, Aggie Medina-Portillo, son, David Moses Medina-Portillo.
He is survived by his children, Niko Medina-Portillo (Kristine) of Asheboro, Jenny Guzman (David) of Maryland, and Ronnie Moore of Maryland; grandchildren, Uriah, Elijah, Romeo, Graci, Layla, Hugo, Andrew, Alisha, Tony, and Brandon; and siblings, Mayra (Frank), Wilfredo (Yanira), Michael (Lucy), Celine (Joel), Douglas (Maria), Jorge Luis (Heidy), Emerita (Felipe), and Oswaldo (Maria).
The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 30, 2022 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue in Asheboro. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, July 31, 2022 at 10:00 am at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Miguel Pavon officiating.
