Helen D. Jones

Helen D. Jones, age 85, of Asheboro died Saturday, November 26, 2016 at Clapp's Convalescent Nursing Home, Asheboro. Mrs. Jones was born June 26, 1931 in Asheboro, NC the daughter of Swain Dixon and Pauline Fox Dixon. She worked as a lab technician for Burlington Industries for many years. A member of the First Baptist Church, she was an avid reader and loved to walk. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wesley Jones in 1999, and a brother Clyde Dixon. She is survived by one son: Ron Jones and his wife Tabby of Jamestown, NC; granddaughter, Lori Muse and her husband Will of Jamestown, NC; great granddaughter, Camille Muse of Jamestown, NC; and sister-in-law, Frances Dixon of Dublin, GA. The funeral will be Tuesday, November 29th at 2:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home Chapel, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro with Chaplain Tim Pheagin officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery, Asheboro.
