Hazel Huggins Haigler, age 88, of Asheboro died Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at Universal Health Care of Ramseur.
Mrs. Haigler was born November 6, 1925 in Dillon, SC to James Oliver and Sara Ruth Huggins. She was retired from Black and Decker and was a member of Oakhurst Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Haigler was preceded in death by her husband, Coy A. Haigler and sister, Libby Daniels.
She is survived by daughter, Arlene Haigler Phillips and husband Steve of Asheboro; sons, Richard J. Haigler of Asheboro and his special friend, Irene McNeill of Coleridge, Jeff Haigler of Oak Island; grandchildren, Angie Queen and husband Brett of Roanoke, VA, Nicholas Haigler and wife Chrystal of Randleman, Amy Hagler and husband Craig of Jamestown; great grandchildren, Samantha, Rose and Alex Queen of Roanoke, VA, Jade Queen of Charlotte, Austin and Matthew Hagler of Jamestown; brother-in-law, Dr. Raymond Daniels of Reno, NV.
The family will receive friends Thursday, April 10, 2014 from 12:30 - 1:30 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro. A graveside service will follow at 2:00 PM at Randolph Memorial Park with Pastor Johnny R. Henderson officiating.
The family would like to express a special thanks to the staff, nurses, and doctors at Universal Healthcare of Ramseur for the loving care and concern given to Hazel during her stay there.
