Gene Allred

Harold Eugene ‘Gene’ Allred, 71, passed away Monday, July 27, 2026 at Pinehurst Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center. He was born in Asheboro, NC on May 27, 1955 to Harold Ferguson Allred and Evon Magdeline Caudle Allred.

Gene will be loved and missed by all who knew him. He worked in the furniture industry for over 10 years at Hughes and Caraway; starting in upholstery and ending in textiles. Gene loved animals – especially cats. His favorite hobbies included racing go-carts and following the NASCAR circuit.

Gene is survived by his sister, Deborah Kennington (Jerry) of Pleasant Garden; brother, Kevin Allred of Tampa, FL; one niece and three nephews. In addition to his parents, Gene is preceded in death by his sister, Lori Talbert.

The family will have a private graveside service to honor Gene.
