George Tiffany Foster, Jr.

George Tiffany Foster, Jr., age 74 of Asheboro, passed away on Tuesday, October 6, 2026 at his home.

George was born on March 14, 1952 in Randolph County, NC to George and Hallie Poindexter Foster. From an early age, George loved to work with his hands and had an incredible work ethic. His strong work ethic is something he passed down to his children and grandchildren. He worked as a supervisor in the furniture industry with Stuart’s and then Klaussner Furniture. He was a taxidermist and very artistic with things that he built. George loved to fish and always enjoyed a good Mt. Dew and pack of Nabs. George went back to school later in his life and received an Associate Degree in Automotive Technology from RCC. Out of all the things George loved, he loved and adored his family the most. In addition to his parents, George is preceded by his wife, Cathy Foster; and his sister, Judy Brower.

George is survived by his daughter, Brook Dezern (Shawn) of Asheboro; son, Preston Foster (Katelyn) of Raleigh; grandchildren, Jurney Dezern (Grayson), Blaze Dezern (Olivia), and Maggie Foster; sisters, Joyce Wilson, Janice Hamlett (Ray), Jane Dunn; brother, Ricky Foster (Deborah); and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 10, 2026 from 2:00pm – 2:45pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Ave., Asheboro, NC 27203. A Celebration of Life service will follow at 3:00pm in the Glenn “Mac” Pugh Chapel with Dr. Rev. Brandon Powell officiating.
