Geneva Ruth Whitaker

Geneva “Jenny” Ruth Whitaker, age 86 of High Point, passed away on Monday, March 30, 2026 at Blumenthal Health and Rehabilitation Center in Greensboro.

Jenny was born on August 12, 1939 in Sunbright, Tennessee to James Albert and Vada Shannon Fairchild. Jenny worked for 18 years as an executive secretary. When Jenny was able, she loved attending church at Balfour Baptist in Asheboro. In addition to her parents, Jenny is preceded in death by her husbands, Bobby Wishon, Robert Phittsenberger, and James Whitaker; and her son, Christopher Wishon.

Jenny is survived by her son, Patrick Lee Wishon; grandchildren, Joshua Wishon, Robert Wishon; and her sisters, Billie Stewart, Joyce Cooper, and Freddie Davis.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, April 3, 2026 at 2:00 pm at Randolph Memorial Park, 4538 US Hwy 220 Bus N., Asheboro, NC 27203.
