Evelyn Briles Summey

Evelyn Briles Summey, age 96, of 1268 Summey Town Road, Trinity died Monday, January 9, 2012 at Woodland Hill Care & Rehabilitation in Asheboro. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at 11:00 AM at the Pierce's Chapel Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, Ross Wood Road, Asheboro with Rev. Ray Swaney officiating. Mrs. Summey was born in Randolph County on April 23, 1915 to Harris and Minnie Money Briles. She was a homemaker and a member of High Rock Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband Lewis Summey, sons Wayne and Clayton Summey, and grandsons Randy and Tony Summey. She is survived by her sons, Mack Summey and his wife Thelma of Trinity, NC, Roy Summey and his wife Shirley of Thomasville, NC; grandsons, Dale Summey of Lexington, NC, Junior Summey and his wife Tammy of Trinity, NC, and Steven Summey and his wife Diane of Dallas, TX. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 10, 2012 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC.
