Elizabeth Mason Burger Reich, age 97, of Eden passed away on Saturday, April 8, 2023 at Brookdale Senior Living in Eden, NC.
Mrs. Reich was born in Brownsburg, VA on January 3, 1926 to Emanuel and Georgia Mason Burger. She completed a business course and was employed at an office in Greensboro. Elizabeth served as pianist, Sunday School teacher, and women's ministry at the churches where her husband served as pastor. She was formerly employed in various jobs, including cafeteria worker (where she could keep her eyes on the youngest child) and prior to her retirement, Elizabeth worked as a CNA and Activity Director as Autumn Care. Elizabeth had the opportunity to visit the Friends Church Navajo Indian Mission during a trip to California to visit her daughter. The trip was taken in a Chevette without air conditioning which was one of her challenging trips taken along her adventurous and strong faith of her husband. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. Emanuel C. and Georgia M. Burger, her sisters, Ruth, Alma, and Anna Burger, her husband of 56 years, Rev. Gaither B. Reich, and her stillborn daughter, Ruth Louetta Reich.
