Edith Paisley Burkhead, Asheboro died Wednesday, February 13, 2019.
Mrs. Burkhead was born in Asheboro to Robert and Bertie Paisley.
She attended High Point College and was a member of First United Methodist Church. Mrs. Burkhead was a preschool teacher at the church and touched the lives of many children and was loved by all. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Holmes Burkhead.
She is survived by sons, Bob Burkhead of Asheboro, Bill Burkhead of Jamestown; daughter, Anne Green and husband Chuck Green of Virginia; grandsons, Jack, Charlie and Will of Virginia; sister, Marion Auman of Asheboro.
The family will receive friends Saturday, February 16, 2019 from 4:00-6:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro. A graveside service will be held Sunday, February 17, 2019 at 1:30 PM at Oaklawn Cemetery, 737 Albemarle Road, Asheboro with Rev. Lynda Ferguson officiating.
