Earl Edward Simpson, age 81, of Randleman died Sunday, July 12, 2020 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, Winston- Salem.
Mr. Simpson was born September 17, 1938 the son of James and Emma Eves Simpson. Earl was a native of Lee County and served in the US Navy. He retired from Duke Energy as a lineman and was a member of American Poolplayers Association. Earl enjoyed building and flying model airplanes and traveling. His true passion was shooting pool with the members in his leagues. In addition to his parents, Earl is preceded in death by his wife, Gloria Ann Simpson; brothers, Howard, Robert and Lawrence and sister, Ethel.
He is survived by his children: Lynn Culler of High Point, Anthony "Tony" Edward Simpson of Charlotte, and Donna Loring and husband Craig of Brown Summit; grandchildren: Jessica, Amber, Hannah, Emily, Mallory, Brooke, Ashlyn and Michael; great grandchildren: Nolan, Alex, Fabian, Jorge, Lazaro and Xochitl.
A graveside service will be held Thursday, July 16, 2020 at 11:00 am at Randolph Memorial Park, 4538 US Hwy 220 Bus. North, Asheboro with Pastor Thomas Simpson officiating.
