Durham Christian Taylor

Durham Christian Taylor, age 44, of Raleigh, NC, and Grass Valley, CA passed away unexpectedly on June 9, 2023. Durham was born on December 4, 1978, in Wilmington, NC, to Patricia Potter Taylor and Julien Knox Taylor III, who predeceased him.  Durham was a bright light with a precious soul who was loved by and devoted to his family and countless friends, which was evident throughout his life. Durham is survived by his mother, Patricia Potter Taylor ("Trish"), his loving brother, Julien Knox Taylor IV, of North Palm Beach, FL, his cherished uncle Abner Durham Potter III ("Durham") and loving wife, Mamie, of Raleigh, NC; his aunt, Helen Taylor Wolfe and husband, R. Thomas Wolfe, of Wilmington, NC, and his uncle John F. Taylor of Wilmington, NC, along with his many treasured cousins. A memorial service will be held at Fairmont United Methodist Church, 2501 Clark Avenue, Raleigh, NC, on June 26, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. with the Revs. Christina Turner and Steve Hickle officiating. The family will receive friends at the church after the service.  Pugh Funeral Home of Asheboro, NC, will be handling the interment arrangements at a later date.  Memorial donations may be made to Healing Transitions, 1251 Goode Street, Raleigh, NC 27603, or the charity of one’s choice.
