Dollie Ann Meadors Cheshire, 90, of Asheboro, passed away Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at Clapp's Convalescent Nursing of Asheboro. She was born December 25, 1934, in Eden, NC, to Doc Thomas Meadors and Ollie Elizabeth Masey.
Dollie was a devoted family woman who cherished every moment spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She had a deep love for the outdoors and travel, frequently visiting the mountains and making trips to the coast to see her family there. An exceptional baker, Dollie was famously known for making the best pecan pies every Christmas. Her dedication to her loved ones was unmatched; she once famously traveled through 18 inches of snow just to ensure she could be with her family, and she always loved being on the sidelines to watch her grandchildren play their games.
Dollie is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 69 years, Josephus Cheshire Jr.; her parents; three sisters; and one brother.
She is survived by her children, Wayne Cheshire (Inge), Linda Callicutt (Ralph), Anne Parham, and Deborah Sapp (Gene); as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Cheshire will lie in repose on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, from 12:00 – 12:45 PM at Pugh Funeral Home
