Delia Hare Brown

Delia Catherine Hare Brown, age 88, of Asheboro passed away at TerraBella Assisted Living in Asheboro.

Mrs. Brown was born in Randolph County on September 24, 1934 to Henry Grady and Roselle Breedlove Hare.  Delia grew up in Franklinville and was a member of Cedar Falls United Methodist Church.  She was formerly employed with Acme-McCrary as an inspector.  In addition to her parents, Delia was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Brown, brothers, Dwaine and Johnny Hare, and sister, Ramona Hare Duggins.  Delia was a wonderful mother with a great sense of humor.  She had a green thumb, loved flowers, and enjoyed crocheting.  She kept numerous pictures and lovingly preserved what she could of the Hare family history.

She is survived by her daughters, Lisa Gardner (Cal) of Richmond, VA and Lori Brown (James Zisa) of Carolina Beach; sisters, Delores Needham (Darrell) of Asheboro and Trudy Sink of Franklinville.

The family will receive friends Sunday, November 6, 2022 from 5:00 - 7:00 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Ave., Asheboro. Funeral services will be held Monday, November 7, 2022 at 3:00 pm at Cedar Falls United Methodist Church, 1119 Loflin Pond Rd., Asheboro . Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
