Cyrus Grant Mayberry

Cyrus Grant Mayberry, age 94 passed away on January 28, 2022, at Brookdale Assisted Living in Asheboro.

Mr. Mayberry was born July 18, 1927, in Wilkes, NC son of Daniel and Lottie Mayberry.

He was a veteran of the US Army and retired from General Electric Manufacturing as a technician. Cyrus loved his family and enjoyed jigsaw puzzles. He was preceded in death by his parents and 4 siblings.

He is survived by his wife: Jewel York Mayberry of the home; stepdaughter: Linda Cowan of Randleman; 2 step grandchildren: Crystal Hazelwood and her husband, Joey of Asheboro, Dr. Brent Ridge and his partner, Josh Percill of New York; 2 step great grandchildren: Lindsay Hazelwood and Zachary Hazelwood both of Asheboro; niece: Rayene Ashburn of Norcross, GA and extended family and friends.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, February 2, 2022, from 2:00 – 3:00 pm prior to the 3:00 pm funeral service in the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel, 600 South Main Street, Randleman, NC.   Burial will follow in the South Plainfield Friends Meeting cemetery, 4033 Plainfield Road, Sophia, NC.
