Colvin Boone

Arthur Colvin Boone, age 87, of 148 S McCrary St, Asheboro died Monday, April 14, 2008 at Clapps Convalescent Nursing Home, Asheboro. A graveside service will be held Saturday, April 19, 2008 at 11:00 am at Oaklawn Cemetery with Rev. Robert Kidd officiating. Mr. Boone was a native of Moore County and an Army veteran of WWII. He was retired from Acme-McCrary Corporation, was a member of Asheboro Friends Meeting and was preceded in death by his wife, Sarah Byrd Boone. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Phyllis and Daryll Setzer of Hickory, NC; grandchildren, Bailey, Dylan and Joshua Setzer all of Hickory, NC; great grandchild, Chloe Setzer; brothers, Clifton Boone of Asheboro, NC and Lonnie Boone of Biscoe, NC. The family will receive friends Friday, April 18, 2008 from 7 to 9 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC.
