Coble Jack Maness, 67, of Asheboro, died peacefully at the home of his sister, with his family present, on December 23, 2020.
Jack was a lifelong resident of Asheboro. In his teens and early twenties, he played bass guitar in several bands, including 21st Century and Clockwork. Jack attended Appalachian State University and was retired from Klaussner Furniture as Materials Purchasing Agent after more than thirty years.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents, Wesley Maness and Lucy Frazier Maness. He is survived by his sister, Barbara Maness Wagner of Thomasville; nephews, Steven Dale and girlfriend Melanie Shane of Asheboro; Jay Dale, wife Suzanne and great nephew, Nicholas Dale all of Trinity; and his beloved cat, Sasha, and extended family and friends.
Jack will lie in repose on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at Pugh Funeral Home in Asheboro from 1:00-5:00 PM. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, December 30 at the family cemetery at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church, 1535 North Moore Rd., Robbins, NC with Rev. Doug Hefner of St. Johns's Lutheran Church officiating.
