Clifford Edward Latham

Clifford Edward “Eddie” Latham, 71, of Randleman passed away Thursday, April 23, 2026 at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro surrounded by his family. He was born June 23, 1954 in Asheboro, NC to James Edward Latham and Hilda Ruth Poole Latham.

Eddie was a lover of life and all it had to offer; he took every opportunity to enjoy every day to its fullest. A music lover his entire life, he started playing in a band at age 9 and particularly enjoyed playing bass. His other hobbies involved motorcycles and cars. Eddie will be remembered as a big-time jokester and making people laugh. He will be loved and missed by all.

Eddie is survived by his daughter, Hope Latham Surratt (Mickey Tartaglia) of Denton; brothers, Freddie Latham (Sarah Cockman) of Carolina Beach, David Roberts of Candor, Ronnie Latham of Asheboro; sister, Ginger Latham of Climax; grandchildren, Krista Hogeland (Jacob), Chase Surratt, Dakota Latham (Mickala), Michael Latham, Nicky White (Adam) and five great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his son, Clifford Edward Latham II and his brother, Chris Latham.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 28, 2026 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home in Randleman. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, April 29, 2026 at 11:00 AM in the Eddie Pugh Memorial Chapel with Pastor Donnie Nease officiating. Interment will follow at Randolph Memorial Park.
