Clara Morris

Clara Yow Morris, age 82, of Asheboro died Thursday, June 26, 2014 at Cross Road Retirement Community. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 28, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dale Kennedy officiating. Burial will follow in Randolph Memorial Park. Mrs. Morris was born in Chatham County, NC on September 19, 1931 to William Franklin and Lona Bright Yow. She was a member of First E&R United Church of Christ and was retired from Klopman Mills in Asheboro. In addition to her parents, Clara was preceded in death by her son Dennis Williamson, 3 brothers, and 2 sisters. She is survived by her daughters, Brenda Steed and her husband Bill of Stony Creek, Sandra Bryant of Liberty; sons, Bob Williamson and his wife Mary of Rockingham, Michael Morris and his wife Lisa of Asheboro; 8 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; and sisters, Dorothy Rice and Janie Moffitt both of Asheboro. The family will receive friends on Friday, June 27, 2014 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro and other times at the home of Mike and Lisa Morris, 1143 Billy Walker Rd., Asheboro.
