Charles Terry Sands, Sr.

Charles Terry Sands, Sr., age 73, of Randleman died Sunday, September 4, 2016 at,his home. Mr. Sands was born July 27, 1943 the son of Henry Johnson Sands and Alma Willard Sands who preceded him in death. Mr. Sands was a native of Guilford County and a retired truck driver. Charles was a member of Cool Springs Baptist Church in Franklinville. He enjoyed camping and his family was his life's greatest joy. He is survived by one daughter: Frances Annette Routh of Randleman, NC; son: Charles "Chuck" Sands, Jr. and his husband, Thomas “Tom” Smither of Graham; grandchildren: Ray Barnes of Grays Chapel, NC, Chris Barnes of Maine, Tammy England and her fiancé Tony Loyal, Jr. of GA; one great grandchild: Mariah Ann Barnes; sister: Marie (Herbert) Jones of Randleman, NC; brother: Jerry (Claudette) Sands of Ramseur, NC. The family will receive friends Tuesday, September 6, 2016 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 600 South Main Street, Randleman, NC. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Cool Springs Baptist Church, 2788 Cool Springs Church Rd., Franklinville with Rev. Jack Kivett and Rev.
