Carl Jeffrey “Jeff” Spano, age 78 of Randleman, passed away on Wednesday, February 4, 2026 at his home.
Jeff was born on December 6, 1947 in Guilford County, NC. Jeff proudly served our country in the United States Army, 82nd Airborne for 20 years. He had a very sweet spirit and was kind to everyone. He loved feeding and watching his birds at home. Jeff enjoyed watching wrestling, westerns, and listening to Oldie Goldie music. He also loved working on classic cars, like his 66’ pick up and his El Camino. Jeff is preceded in death by his parents, Patrick and Margaret McGee; his first wife, Amanda Spano; daughter, Amy Spano, and his sister, Margaret Ann Truitt.
Jeff is survived by his wife, Lucy Spano of the home; son, Carl Jeffrey Spano II (Heather) of Decatur, AL; grandchildren, Kyle, Cynthia, Kayla (Brae), and Jessica (Ethan); four great grandchildren; brother, Frank Bibus (Kathy) of Thomasville, sister, Teresa Cox of Level Cross, brother Patrick “Eddie” McGee (Scarlett) of Eden; sister, Heather McGee of Level Cross; several nieces and nephews; and his two special canine companions, Daisy and Little Bit.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Sunday, February 8, 2026 at 1:00 PM at Dillon Road Baptist Church, 3136 Dillon Rd., Jamestown, NC 27282.
