Carl William Dickens

Carl William Dickens, age 90, of Asheboro passed away on Friday, November 4, 2022 at Randolph Hospital.

Carl was born in Davie County, NC on March 26, 1932 to Asa and Martha Widner Dickens. 

He worked at Weiman Furniture, retiring from Basset Furniture.  Carl loved bluegrass and gospel music.  He attended Pleasant Grove Untied Methodist Church and loved his church family.

In addition to his parents Carl was preceded in death by his sister, Ruby Smith and brothers, Asa Jr., Calvin and Elbert.

Carl is survived by his wife of 60 years, Hazel Dickens; son, Kevin Dickens and wife Erin of Davidson, NC. Several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Saturday, November 12, 2022 from 1:00 - 2:00 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Ave., Asheboro. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 pm in the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bradley Treece officiating.  Burial will be in Randolph Memorial Park.
