Boyd Smith

Boyd Smith, age 80, of Asheboro, died Saturday, November 19, 2016 at Hospice of Union County in Monroe, NC. Mr. Smith was born October 22, 1936 at Grubbs, AR. Boyd was a native of Arkansas before residing in Asheboro. He was an entrepreneur in his own sense. He enjoyed spending time with his close friends and his grandchildren meant so much to him. He is preceded in death by both of his parents as well as one brother, one sister and two sons. He is survived by his daughter Marsha Smith of Stanfield, NC and two sons Mark Smith of Nashville, TN and Michael Smith of York, PA; one sister Inez Moore of Newport, AR and one brother Jerry Smith and his wife Marsha of Grubbs, AR, and 7 grandchildren. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
