Bonnie Faye Maness Yow, age 90, of Asheboro, North Carolina, passed away on September 18, 2026, at Randolph Hospice House.
Bonnie was born on October 28, 1935, in Guilford County to the late Thomas Marsh Maness and Esta Jane Harvell Maness.
Bonnie shared over forty wonderful years of marriage with her late husband, Jesse. Together, they built a life centered around family and hard work, with Bonnie faithfully working alongside him in his furniture business. She was a devoted and loving mother who created a warm, welcoming home, and her family will always remember the care she put into making fresh homemade biscuits every morning. Bonnie treasured the simple moments in life, especially taking long, leisurely Sunday rides with Jesse. A natural hostess who loved being surrounded by friends and family, she found great fulfillment in cooking and hosting dinners at her house just to have the people she cared about gathered together. Later in life she developed friendships in gospel music singing and bingo.
In addition to her parents, Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Yow; her daughters, Shelia Sheffield and Debra Jane Yow; her brother, Tommy Maness; her son-in-law, Norman Caviness; and her great-granddaughter, Aniston Williamson.
She is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Caviness; her grandchildren, Sherri Lassiter, Angie Williamson and her husband, Michael, Jonathon Brown and his wife, Leanne, and Jennifer Jones; as well as eight great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Special thanks to the friends and staff at Cross Road Retirement Community for the exceptional love and care that was shown throughout the years.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 24, 2026, at 2:00 pm. A funeral service will follow in the Glenn "Mac" Pugh Chapel. Burial will follow at Pisgah UMC Cemetery.
