Bobby Ray Cranford, age 81, of Asheboro died Friday, June 27, 2014 at Randolph Hospice House, Asheboro.
Mr. Cranford was born November 11, 1932 the son of William and Ida Estelle Berry Cranford who preceded him in death.
Bobby Ray was a native of Randolph County and served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He was of the Baptist Faith and had worked as a machinist in the Textile industry where he owned Cranford Enterprises and traveled internationally.
He is survived by his wife: Jo Ellen Pennington Cranford; daughter and her husband, Marda and Jimmy Camp of Asheboro, NC; daughter: Donna C. Dickens of Randleman, NC; sister: Louise Boling of Asheboro, NC; grandson: Zach Camp of Wilmington, NC; grandson: Joshua Dickens of Asheboro, NC; step daughter: Renee Wilson of Asheboro, NC; step daughter: Rebecca Nelson of Asheboro, NC; step son and his wife: Brian and Rita Wilson of Burlington, NC; Special K-9 Friends, Pistol and Farrah.
The family will receive friends Monday, June 30, 2014 from 1:00 - 2:30 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC. The funeral will follow at 2:30 PM in the funeral home chapel. Burial, with Military Honors by the Randolph County Honor Guard will be in Randolph Memorial Park, Asheboro.
