Billy Frank Thompson

Billy Frank Thompson, age 76, of 517 Celeste Lane, Asheboro died Tuesday, August 28, 2012 at Randolph Hospital. Mr. Thompson was born November 16, 1935 in Montgomery County to Homer N. and Altia Garner Thompson. He was US Army veteran and attended Central Falls Baptist Church. Mr. Thompson retired after 38 years of service from Jordan Lumber as maintenance supervisor. In addition to his parents, Mr. Thompson was preceded in death by his first wife, Susie Tucker Thompson and several brothers and sisters. He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Wanda Ingold Thompson; daughters, Teresa Bowles and her husband Roger of Mt Gilead, Robin Hinson and her husband Gary of Norwood; grandchildren, Melanie Dunn of Greenville, Joshua Bowles of Troy, Jeremy Bowles of Mt Gilead; 3 great grandchildren; brother, Ralph Thompson of Mt. Gilead. The family will receive friends Friday, August 31, 2012 from 6 to 8 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro. Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 1, 2012 at 2:00 pm at Central Falls Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Tucker Family Cemetery, Seagrove.
