Betty Jo Hunsucker

Betty Jo Hardister Hunsucker, age 80, of NC Hwy 109N, Troy died Sunday, June 29, 2014 at the home of her daughter. Mrs. Hunsucker was born July 9, 1933 at Randolph County, NC, the daughter of Nish Boyles and Vella Russell Hardister. She attended Lomax Memorial Baptist Church and was a homemaker. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Robert Lee Hunsucker; brothers: N.B. Hardister, Wade Hardister, Paul Hardister and sisters: Ila Lisenby, Mary Lou Hinson, Juanita Tucker and Carrie Atkins. She is survived by one daughter: Mitzi Hoy of Troy; one son: Donnie Hunsucker of Star; 9 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren.. The family will receive friends Tuesday, July 1, 2014 from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Pugh-Troy Funeral Home, 211 N Main St, Troy; other times at the home of Mitzi Hoy, 2063 NC Hwy 109N, Troy. The funeral will be Wednesday at 2:00 PM at Lomax Memorial Baptist Church, Correll Rd, Troy with Rev. Wayne Lisenby and Rev. Chip Bryant officiating.
