Betty Ruth Fox

Betty Ruth Reynolds Fox, age 82, of Mt. Gilead passed away on Sunday, April 5, 2020 at Autumn Care Nursing & Rehabilitation, Biscoe. Mrs. Fox was born January 21, 1938 in Troy, NC the daughter of the late Elsie Reynolds and the late Lena (Crisco) Reynolds. Prior to retirement, she was employed as a Dental Assistant. Mrs. Fox loved life. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who was sweet, humbled, and had a quiet nature. She was an avid Bingo player and enjoyed traveling as hostess for Holiday Tours. She is survived by daughter: Donna Smith (Wesley) of Archdale, NC, and son Dennis Batten (Tammy) of Troy; brother: Jimmy Reynolds of Troy; 4 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; step children: Terry Fox, Donna Braswell, and Georgia Sexton; 7 step grandchildren. She was preceded in death by husbands: John P. Batten and George Fox. Due to the guidelines during the COVID 19 virus, her body will lie in state from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM on Wednesday, April 8, 2020 at Pugh-Troy Funeral Home, 211 North Main Street, Troy, NC. Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to Twin Harbor Worship Center, 220 Deer Park Road, Mt. Gilead, NC 27306.
